Rebekka Pechlin, 53, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on February 23, 2025.

Rebekka was born on April 13, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest and Erika (Forst) Guzman. Throughout her childhood, she was an avid reader and always looked forward to her weekly trip to the Book Mobile to pick out her next read. Rebekka moved several times throughout her childhood due to her father's career and always acclimated well and continued to be an exceptional student. She went on to graduate high school from James Island High School and later attended classes at Trident Technical College. 

Rebekka was loyal to her friends who knew her well. She enjoyed tending to her plants, cooking new dishes, and continuing her love of reading. Rebekka could often be found enjoying a day at the beach or working out in her garden. Rebekka had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Danzig.

Rebekka is preceded in death by her mother, Erika Guzman and her son Sinkler's father, Charles St. George Sinkler Adams.

Rebekka is survived by her daughter, Jasmine Brown (Sean); cherished birth son, Sinkler Adams; her father, Ernest Guzman and step-mother, Kitty; her brothers, Stefan Guzman, Ernest Guzman, and Jeffrey Guzman; stepsister, Karen Neumann and stepbrother, David Neumann and wife, Melinda; two grandchildren, Erika McKenzie Brown and James Brown; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly. 

A celebration of Rebekka's life will be held at a later date.
