Rebecca G. Livingston, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died July 1, 2016 at Somerby Senior Living after a long illness. She was born in Kingstree, SC, the youngest child of Frank and Virginia Gamble. Rebecca received a nursing degree from Orangeburg Regional Hospital as a pre-natal nurse before marrying her husband of 63 years, Dr. Marvin W. Livingston. They made a life for themselves in Atlanta, GA for over 40 years before retiring to Hilton Head in 2003. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Marvin Livingston, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Daughter, Cathy L. Williams (Rob), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Son, Carey M. Livingston (Becky), of Kemah, TX; Grandchildren, Rachel and Collin Williams; cousins, Malon and Thomas Mimms, nieces, Ryle Snyder and Sandy Berry, and many loving friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents and daughter Lauren, brothers Frances and Kenneth, and sisters Lillian and Sybil. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, South Carolina, 29906. A Graveside Service will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Keeler officiating.
