Randi Elizabeth Benton

Randi Elizabeth Benton, 42, of James Island, mother to 5 children, entered eternal rest on April 3, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born August 19, 1978, in Charleston, Randi was the daughter of the late Randall Grady Benton and Carolyn Elizabeth Benton. Randi was predeceased by both her grandparents Ruben and Ellen Shuler.

Randi's accomplishments included being a full-time mother to five children; she had a fulfilling job as a school bus driver for many years for the middle and elementary schools on James Island. She touched many families' hearts and always did her best. She drove the bus for James Island Baptist Church going on many youth trips and JOY club trips. She had a serving heart and always put others before herself. She had a smile that would light up a room and always brought joy to anyone who met her. She was a member of James Island Baptist Church and was a leader in the Celebrate Recovery Program.

Randi is survived by her mother Carolyn Elizabeth Benton, her 5 children: Elijah 25, Jacob 22, Rachel 17, Leah 15, and Grace 14 of Charleston. Randi is also survived by her sister Ranae Benton Clark and her Husband Josh Clark and daughter Julia. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021, at James Island Baptist Church, 2023 Wappoo Dr, Charleston, SC 29412. The Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM. The Service will be held at 11:00 AM at James Island Baptist Church.

The burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406 at 1:00 PM.
