Ramesh Shantilal Doshi, 73, of Mount Pleasant, SC husband to Mackly Ramesh Doshi (Cama) of 41 years, entered into eternal rest on August 15, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 25, 1948 in Bangalore, India, Ramesh was the son of Margaret Doshi and the late Shantilal Doshi.
Ramesh lived a beautiful life. From a very young age, he lived all over the world and loved a good adventure. He married the love of his life and the two of them were inseparable. Their children often joked that he and Mackly were rarely more than 10 feet apart! Ramesh loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren. All who knew him describe him as the most humble, gentle, patient, and kind man they've ever met. Ramesh never met a stranger and had a special ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His love for people was genuine and it was impossible not to smile when Ramesh walked into a room.
Ramesh enjoyed the simple things. Games of chess with his grandchildren, sitting around the firepit and enjoying good conversations, evening walks with Mackly and telling stories around the dinner table were some of his favorite pastimes. He loved his daily cups of tea and also took great delight in a good craft beer, scotch or glass of wine -- but only if he had someone to share it with. An avid world traveler, Ramesh enjoyed visiting new and exciting places and desired to take his grandchildren on these trips one day. In everyday life, Ramesh was never in a hurry and had time for everyone and everything that came across his path. He gave every moment his full attention and lived life with a deep sense of contentment.
Ramesh graduated first in his class from Christ Church School and then went on to Xaviers College where he earned a BS in Science. He later earned his Masters Degree in Chemistry from the State University of NY.
Besides his wife, Ramesh is survived by his son Ravi Doshi (Erika) of Charlotte, NC.
