Phillip Michael Privette

PRIVETTE, Phillip Michael Dec 30, 1944 – March 11, 2016 Phillip Michael Privette, 71, entered into eternal rest March 11, 2016 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Phillip was born December 30, 1944 to the late Robert Glenn Privette and the late Margaret Hilda Wheless Privette in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He grew up in Zebulon, NC where he graduated from Wakelon High School. He also graduated from East Carolina University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Dale Herndon Privette of Myrtle Beach, SC; a son, Robert Mann Privette (Jodi) of Goose Creek, SC; a daughter, Ashley Michelle Privette Gasperson (Scott) of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren (Kyle, Andrew, Ashlyn, Benjamin, Leila, and Jaxon); two brothers, Robert Lee Privette (Barbara) of Pine, Arizona and Herbert Glenn Privette (Lois Jean) of Lewisville, NC; and two sisters, Margaret Privette Carter (Billy Wayne – deceased) of Athens, Alabama and Hilda Privette Mitchell (Gerald) of Mint Hill, NC. He was predeceased by a sister, Emily Marie Privette of Zebulon, NC. Phillip spent his life building everything from furniture to homes to schools and helping his family, friends, neighbors and strangers in need. The family gathered for a celebration of Phillip's life at his and Barbara's home in Myrtle Beach.
