Phillip George Lindsley

Phillip George Lindsley, 86 of Bonneau, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Born on March 15, 1938 in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Florence Burke Ellis and Edward Lindsley.

After graduating from high school, Phillip served our country in the US Navy and then became an Ironworker in Charleston where he later retired. He moved out to Bonneau Beach where he loved siting on the back deck with a beer and watching NASCAR with his favorite driver, Mark Martin. He also loved gardening, growing his prize tomato plants and other vegetables. He also loved cooking tried to feed everyone when they came to visit. He most loved being surrounded by his family and friends at various gatherings and living the peaceful life on the lake.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Lindsley; brothers, Edward Lindsley, Harold Lindsley, and Harry Lindsley; and his sister, Florence McAllister.

Phillip is survived by his daughter, Mellissa Morris; sons, Phillip Lindsley, Roger Lindsley, James Lindsley, and Paul Lindsley; his brother, Jeffery Lindsley; and his sister, Joan Sorge.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Visitation will be followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.

The burial will be 12:00 PM at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S. Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
