Paul Todd Yarborough, loving husband and father, departed this life on Monday, December 9, 2024, with family by his side.
Born on January 26, 1962, in Charleston, South Carolina, Todd was the beloved son of the late Patricia Yarborough (Morrow) and Jimmy Yarborough.
Known to family and friends simply as Todd, his good-natured and adventurous spirit would guide him through a life centered around hard work and joy. He had experience in multiple areas, but his profession as an over-the-road truck driver was more than a career; it was a calling that spanned over three decades with BW Mitchum Trucking. On the highways of America, Todd felt free, relishing every mile driven and every landscape traversed, finding comfort and camaraderie along the way.
Outside of his profession, Todd was a man of many interests. A lover of the green expanses of golf courses, he often took to the greens, where laughter and good-natured competition filled the air. He enjoyed motorsports and supported his sons, allowing him to experience the thrill of the race. A natural mechanic at heart, he found joy in working with his hands on various mechanical projects, and whenever the opportunity called, he embraced the chance to race cars.
Yet, the true essence of Todd's life was found in the moments he spent with family and friends, and he never passed up an opportunity to spend time with them. His enduring spirit shone brightest when surrounded by those he loved, creating memories built on shared stories and unconditional love and support.
Todd is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Yarborough, and sisters Paula and Teresa (Teri) Yarborough. He is survived by his devoted wife Pamela, his father Jimmy, his adoring daughter, Keri Walker (Spencer), sons, Paul Yarborough Jr. and Bradley Yarborough, siblings Kenny and Dale Yarborough, along with many loving nieces and nephews who carry on his legacy.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC, 29412. The service will begin at 3:00 PM, also at McAlister-Smith, with a reception immediately following.
Todd will be profoundly missed, but his vibrant spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
