Paul William 'Chuck' Pittard, Jr., age 64, husband of Angela L. Pittard, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Chuck was born on February 25, 1950, to the late Thelma Huff Pittard and Paul W. Pittard, Sr. Chuck grew up in North Charleston, graduated the College of Charleston, worked in local and state law enforcement for over twenty years, and served in the South Carolina Army National Guard for six years. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and could often be found in a rocking chair in the Mountains of North Carolina. He loved Jesus, his church, his wife and his family and many dear friends and his faithful companion, a Boykin Spaniel named Taylor. Survivors include his daughters Janelle Eger (Jason) of Pittsburgh, PA, Caroline Pittard, and son Paul W. Pittard, III, six grandchildren, Jarah, Jonas and Jude Eger and Madison, Emma Grace and Will Pittard, a sister Rebecca Pittard Craven of Dearing, GA, and a niece and nephew. He was predeceased by a faithful Boykin Spaniel, J.T. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Seacoast Church, 750 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, which will be followed by a memorial service to begin at 12:00 p.m. in The Chapel at Seacoast Church, with Rev. Eddie Driggers officiating. McAllister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, is in charge of the arrangements.
