Paul Joseph Reddy (76), from Isle of Palms, SC passed away on May 13, 2016 surrounded by family and friends after a year-long illness. He was born on March 21, 1940 in Clinton, MA to Thomas Reddy and Claire Ruane Reddy. He married Barbara Ann Kemp on June 18, 1966 at St. Leo’s Parish in Leominster, MA. Paul graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg, MA in 1958 and later earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He worked in sales for Norton Industrial Abrasives for several years before becoming a small business owner with the E.A. Kinsey Company, Reddy Associates and Bulk Logistics Systems. He loved the outdoors and could be seen most weekends working in his yard or riding his bike on the beach. He was an avid golfer, amateur chef and vacation enthusiast. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. For the past 10 years, Paul was a member of Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, SC. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His generous spirit and humorous approach to life will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Paul is survived by his wife Barbara; and his three children: LeeAnne (Robert) Polta of New Albany, OH, Kristen (Brian) Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Lara (Louis) D’Eugenio of Mt. Pleasant, SC and seven grandchildren: Ken, Evan, Anna, Hayden, Paul, Andrew and Ethan; his sister Ann (Robert) O’Connell of Fitchburg, MA, sister-in-law JoAnn Reddy of Leominster, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary, twin brother, Philip and nephew, Sean. The Reddy family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, care-givers, hospice workers, family and the many friends that provided warmth and support over the past year. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 17 at 4:00pm at Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting Street, Charleston. All are invited to the reception following in Lance Hall for visiting hours and a celebration of Paul’s life.
