Paul Henson

Paul Henson, 59, of Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away, suddenly on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022. Born on July 1st, 1963 in Thorne, England to Fred and Eileen Henson.

Paul lived his life for Jesus, his family, and serving others. He was a great man of faith, integrity, honesty, loyalty, sportsmanship, strength, and humor.

He was married to Lisa, his best friend and the love of his life, for over 30 years and cherished his children, Jordy and London, immensely. He had a passion for soccer and God used the glorious game of football as a tool throughout Paul's life. This guided him as he impacted those around him. There was so much laughter when Paul was with you. YES, he was hysterically funny but more importantly he uplifted everyone God put in his path. He was incredibly hard working and a devoted father. He loved spending time just talking and doing life with people. He took relationships seriously and he loved his family and friends and always had time for them, whether near or far. He was extremely intentional about helping others and he loved with his whole heart! There was no holding back with Paul, wearing his heart on his sleeve, he inspired people to be the best they could be. Paul was mighty in his walk with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was humble and gentle with his faith, never overbearing, his everyday actions were a testimony to this. He was a man of honor!

He loved long bike rides and walks on the beach with his family. Paul was a true handy man and had an entrepreneurial spirit. He was always willing to, quietly, use his gifts and talents helping his family, his church, and his community. He served us all very well and absolutely lived an abundant life. (John 10:10)

His career in soccer has earned him countless accomplishments.

Paul's family truly treasured him and he was beloved by all. We are absolutely convinced Paul is playing soccer in Heaven, lovingly encouraging others to use their skills, and making everyone including Jesus laugh hard.

Paul is preceded in death by his Mam (mother) Eileen. Paul is survived by his wife Lisa, his children Jordy and London Lily, his sisters Marie and Tracey, his in-laws Bill and Arline, and his brother in-laws Billy and Tom.
