Paul Henry Denzer

Paul Henry Denzer, 62, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Born on November 13, 1961, in Red Wing, MN, Paul was the son of the late William Charles Denzer and the late Antoinette Angelina (Agate) Denzer.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Dobroski. Paul loved many things, but most important to him were his faith, his family and his country.

Paul was a devout Catholic and spent most of his life regularly attending mass. He was an avid sports fan and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. Paul was also quite competitive and took great pride in teaching his children the card games of Euchre, Cribbage, and "Denzer Spades."

He was passionate about traveling and proudly accomplished his goal of visiting all 50 states. In his later years, he traveled to Costa Rica, where he met his beautiful wife, Angela. Together, they shared a wonderful life, as Angela and their two cats Aria and Alaska brought him immense joy, even as he battled difficulties with his health. The end of his life was spent the exact way he would have wanted, listening to the Rolling Stones and surrounded by his 4 children, whom he would tell anyone were his greatest accomplishments.

Paul is survived by his children: Derek (Teale) Denzer, Monica (Jay) Horne, Luke Denzer and Molly Denzer; grandchildren: Lillian Denzer, Emerson Denzer, Lawson Denzer, Ezra Denzer, Thea Horne and Pratt Horne; brothers: William Denzer, Michael Denzer and Joseph Denzer; and sisters, Linda Simenson and Jennie Degidts.

A memorial mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 5 Saint Teresa Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414, (843) 722-8371.
