Paul Augustus Albers, Jr.

Paul Augustus Albers Jr., 62 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest with his family by his side, on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Born on June 11, 1962 in Charleston, SC to the late Paul Albers and Georgeanna Johnson Albers Hundley. 

Paul was a graduate of Bishop England High School (1981) and Clemson University (1990). He pursued a career as an engineer, spending many years working on the flightline at Boeing. He was a lifelong resident of the lowcountry where he enjoyed watching Clemson Football, listening to music, watching movies, and talking about fast cars. He also loved spending time with his family and his two beloved golden retrievers (Tess & Bella). His family will remember him as a loving father, son, brother, “Papa”, and friend. 

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Augustus Albers, Sr. and Georgeanna Johnson Albers Hundley; and his sister Victoria Jane Albers

Paul is survived by his three daughters, Ashley (Steven) Dix, Melissa (Michael) Ornelas, and Rebecca (Timothy) Koch; sister, Madeline "Mikie" (Coby) Frampton; five grandchildren, Layla, Bristol, Brantley, Walker, and Delaney; three loving nieces, Kim (Randy) McManus, Kristi Snell Martin, Rachel (Brandon) Clark; one nephew, Brent (Lindsey) Frampton; former spouse and lifelong friend Alison (Alvie) Evans and many other loved ones. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation - Mount Pleasant, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482.

The Burial will follow at 3:00pm at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
