Patricia Ann Wallace (née Duquette), born in Bryan, Texas, on December 2,1943, passed away peacefully on August 17 on Daniel Island, South Carolina.
Pat is predeceased by her father, Norman Charles Duquette, her mother, Patricia Helen Duquette, and her former husband, Brian Wallace.
She is loved deeply and will be remembered with tenderness by her daughter, Cassie Cataline, and son-in-law, Scott Cataline; her sisters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Duff Nelson and Suzann Duquette and Jan Enthoven; her nephew and step nephews and their families, Sean and Bronagh Creegan, and Ben Nelson, Matt Nelson, and Andrew Nelson; and her cousins and their families: Linda Butler, Carol Schraeder, Bobby Butler, Peter Duquette, David Duquette, Jim Wheat, and Anne Latimer.
Pat received her B.A. in English from the University of Rhode Island. A loving mother, Pat also had a remarkable drive, independence, and vibrancy that all close to her admired. While humble about her accomplishments, she was a highly regarded and awarded Certified Residential Specialist, Associate Broker, and Northern Virginia Top Producer in Real Estate in the Washington, D.C., metro area for 45 years. This included being a member of the RE/MAX Allegiance Hall of Fame and Chairmans Club. She often spoke of her clients as her friends and family. Hundreds of people, including generations of families, returned to Pat to help them find homes that they loved.
Pat had a lifelong love of water, boating, nature, dogs, and home decorating, and she inherited her mother’s love of reading and gardening. She was a natural-born storyteller. Throughout her life, Pat was generous and a strong advocate for those who needed help or support. A devoted Catholic, she volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul for several years at her parish in Alexandria, Virginia, where she lived, for close to 30 years. She offered to all her hospitality, vibrancy, and considerable wit and sense of humor. Pat enjoyed her last home on Daniel Island, near Charleston, for six years, and was thankful to be near her loving daughter and close friend, Cassie, and Scott in such a warm and beautiful place.
