Patricia R. Cook, 83, of Charleston, SC, passed away on December 7, 2021 peacefully at home with her husband by her side.
Born on March 21, 1938 in Hartsville, SC, Patricia was the daughter of the late Grover C. Braddock and Ruby D. Braddock.
Pat was a past member of the Embroidery Guild of America and a former needlework judge for the Coastal Carolina Fair. She enjoyed smocking, cross stitching and sewing. She especially enjoyed helping others learn to sew and do needlework. She was a volunteer tour guide for the house at Middleton Plantation for over 40 years, enjoying every moment sharing with others southern history many for the first time.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Parry Cook; daughter, Lynn Dill and husband Phillip, son, Tim Cook; 5 grandchildren, Emily McDonald (Doug), Bryce Dill (Leslie), Kelsey Mackay (Will), Andersen Cook, and Morgan Ayers (Josh); 8 great grandchildren, Luke, Eliza, Laney, Ian, Adalyn, Grayson, Delilah and Eli; a sister, Peggy Hodges.
The service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC.
