Patricia L . " Pat " Willey

Patricia L. " Pat " Willey, 81 of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Born on July 24, 1940 in Norfolk, VA, Pat was a daughter of the late Maggie (Ellington) Woodlief and Milton Furman Woodlief.  Pat grew up in Norfolk, VA and attended Granby High School. She later met and married her husband, who was in the Navy and began their family as they moved around the US and abroad. After military retirement, they chose to settle in Goose Creek to live and raise their children. Pat worked in the Child Nutrition Department for Berkeley County School District, where she worked at and managed several schools and eventually retired as a Field Manager. After retirement, Pat, along with her husband, spent a lot of their time traveling, camping and devoting time to family and friends.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Milton & Maggie Woodlief; three brothers: Wayne Woodlief, Ollie Woodlief, Gerry Woodlief; and sister Jane Woodlief-Kipp.

Pat is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Willey of Goose Creek, SC; three sons: Randall "Randy" Willey of Westland, MI, Ralph Willey (Tonja) of Cross, SC, Richard "Rick" Willey (Melody) of Pendleton, SC; a daughter, Roxanne Willey of Moncks Corner, SC; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grand children; and two brothers: Richard "Rick" Woodlief of Berwin, PA and Michael "Mike" Woodlief (Kay) of Chesapeake, VA.

Services to remember and honor Pat's life will be at 12:30 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the Chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, South Carolina 29445 with Reverend Mark Pollard, officiating.  A gathering of Pat's family and friends for a time of comfort and sharing memories will be at 11:00 A.M. just prior to the services at the funeral home.  Rites of Committal and Interment will follow services where she will be laid to rest at Plantation Memorial Gardens in Moncks Corner.
