Patricia Ann Desmond, 79, passed away at her home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina on Friday, July 16th, 2021 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Patricia was born on August 16th, 1941 in Hudson, New York.
Patricia dedicated her life to her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She had a passion for animals and later in life, bred and raised Cocker Spaniels. Patricia enjoyed supporting the University of South Carolina athletics and was a scholarship donor for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Michael Desmond; her 4 siblings, Karen Williams, Michael Warman, Keith Warman, and Roger Warman; her sisters-in-law, Carol Desmond (Rose) and Elizabeth Desmond; her five children: Bonnie Schattle (Michael), Kevin Desmond (Michelle), Michael Desmond (Jennifer), Patrick Desmond, and Sharon Carter (Brent); and 9 grandchildren: Lauren Dye (Ronnie), Megan Rose (Donathan), Joseph Desmond (Abigale), Erin Gunther (Matthew), Sarah Flake (William), Ashley LaBounty (Austin), Matthew Desmond (Skylar), Justin Carter, and Mason Desmond along with 8 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jaxon, Aspen, Natalee, Charleston, Bryson, Emma, and expecting Aiden in September 2021.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Beatrice Warman, and her sister-in-law, Mary Smith.
A memorial service will take place at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek on Saturday, July 24th at 10 am.
