Pamela Ann Hayward

Pamela Ann Hayward, 85 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. 

Born on August 1, 1938 in Berwyn, IL, she was a daughter of  Ann Janda (Oslakovic) and James Janda. 

Pam attended Northern Illinois University, where in 1960 she earned a BA in social science. Upon graduation she lived briefly in St. Simons Island, Georgia and Honolulu, Hawaii before settling in Walnut Creek, California in 1965. She met and married John Hayward in 1966 and had her only child ,Darren, in 1967. After working in several different fields, Pam found her career with Safeway Inc as a senior accountant with whom she retired from in 1995. In 2011 Pam left California to reside in her final home in Summerville, SC where she was involved with Helping Hands food bank and the Catholic Church.

Pamela is preceded in death by parents James Janda and Ann Janda.

Pamela is survived by her son Darren Hayward.
  
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception, 510 St. James Ave Goose Creek SC 29445.
