“Norma would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call on Sunday morning, the 24th of May, in the early hours of the morning, a sort of offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place called Heaven, where she will be socializing, dancing on those streets of gold, and staying in the presence of her Lord forever and ever. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for her son’s to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed.”
Norma was a lady of distinction. She was graceful, wise, soft spoken, and a humble woman of God that loved spending time with her family and many friends. She loved the Lord, and it showed in her service to others. She was devoted to her late husband, Magellan during their 62 years of marriage.
Norma is survived her two sons and their wives, Stephen & Denese Brunson and Alan & Barbara Brunson; her grandchildren, Michelle, Stephen Jr., Stephanie, Alan Jr., Erin, David, Adam and Justin; her great grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Sarah Beth, Audrey, Katie, Olivia, Oliver and Xavier.
Thank you Jesus for the mom, grandmother, sister and aunt you gave us for 84 years. What a blessing she was. She will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held for Norma on Saturday, June 27th at 1:00 pm at Northwoods Church, 4020 2nd Avenue, Summerville, SC 29486.
