Nicolas Billena Arcalas

Nicolas Billena Arcalas, 95, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023. 

He was born on January 24, 1928 in Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines.

Nicolas graduated from Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.  He retired as a Division Chief from Social Security System, Manila Philippines.  In 1951 he married Juanita Quinit and had six children - daughters: Nelia Boykin (Scott), Nilda Gabuyo (Mario+), Noemi Rodriguez (Johnny),  Sons: Joven Arcalas (Dawn), Nicolas Arcalas Jr. (Monique), Jerry Arcalas (Hye Sun).  In 1973, he and his wife migrated to United States and settled in Goose Creek.  Nicolas was employed at Dixie Bearings (Applied Industrial Technologies) until retirement. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and choir.

Nicolas is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Juanita; his parents, Benito and Lucia Arcalas; and sisters, Marcelina de Asis and Angelita Bulseco. 

Nicolas is survived by his 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Isabelo Arcalas (Sophia) and Atilano Arcalas (Josephine); and sisters, Violeta Arcalas and Lourdes Bulseco (Rogelio).
 
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.
