Mr. Needam Wayne Todd, age 77, passed away Saturday evening, December 27, 2014. He was born on May 14, 1937 in Loris, SC. He was the son of Mr. Needam Edward Todd and Mrs. Mable Tyler Todd. Wayne graduated from Loris High School and was a retired welder from General Electric Corp. He was a member and past Master of Hammerton Masonic Lodge #332 in North Charleston, SC. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and loved the outdoors. He was also a fan of sports, especially football. Survivors include his wife of 34 years Phyllis Cox Todd; Sons Anthony Wayne Todd and Kevin Edward Todd, daughters Kathy Lynn Todd and Vicki (Strom) Todd Altman; grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Todd, James Michael Curry, Jr., Steven Chad Curry, Taren Dianah Todd, Krichelle Barrs, Strom Wesley Altman, Jr. and Marissa Victoria Altman, all of Charleston, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his sisters, Jasmine Todd Holt, Virginia Faulk, Pauline Henderson and Ernestine Dandy. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414. Committal services will follow at Grainger Cemetery in Loris, SC at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Todd’s memory to Wando Wood Baptist Church, 4123 Dorsey Road, North Charleston, SC 29405.
