Nancy Sue Hiott

Nancy Sue (Susie) Hiott, 77, of James Island SC, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2021.
Susie was born in Rome, Georgia, on October 11, 1943, and graduated from West Rome High School in 1961. Soon after marrying, she moved to Charleston, where she helped her husband, Harold, run a camera business and they raised their two sons. Susie also worked in the Immunopathology Department at MUSC and retired after 20 years of service.
Susie kept in touch with her old High School friends and always looked forward to their reunions and Zoom meetings. Susie was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she enjoyed many years of worship and fellowship. She was an avid pet lover and had everything from a skunk, ferret, and parrot to the usual assortment of dogs and cats.
Susie was predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Hiott, and her son, Gene Hiott. She is survived by her son, Beck Hiott, of James Island, SC, her sister, Cindy Latimer of Rome, Ga and several cousins.
In lieu of donations or flowers, family and friends are asked to take the time to "Pay it Forward" and spread their good fortune with others.
A small memorial service is planned for 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 4th at Epworth United Methodist Church,1540 Camp Rd, Charleston, SC 29412.
