Nancy Ann Brown

Nancy Ann Brown, 81, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024. 

Nancy was born on October 12, 1942, in Newark, NJ, and was a daughter of the late William Jarvis and Carrie Bartee Miller.

Nancy worked 26 years for New Jersey Bell, that later became Verizon. She loved shopping with her family and friends. She loved spending time with family at family gatherings as well as babysitting the children. She also enjoyed going bowling. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumberland, Virginia.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, William Jarvis Miller and Carrie Bartee Miller; sister, Hattie Davis; and brother Dannie Miller. 

Nancy is survived by her son, Kevin Brown and his fiancé Audrey Phelps, six grandchildren: Denise, William, LaTasha, Deadra, Natia, Josiah; and thirteen great grandchildren. 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - West Ashley, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
