Myra G. Kibbe

Myra G Kibbe, 95, of Huger, SC died on Sunday, January 18, 2015. She was born on Tuesday, July 29, 1919 in Beaufort, SC to the late Jennie Lee McTeer and George Frank Brant. Myra was born and raised in Beaufort, SC and she was the owner of The Koth's Grocery for many years. She was an auditor assistant at Piggly Wiggly Carolina Corporation and was also in the insurance industry for many years. Myra enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting and cross stich. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by two sons,Charles R. Koth Sr.(Katie),of Huger, SC; John F.Koth (Joyce), of Georgia; three daughters, Jessie Charlene Smith, of Summerville, SC; Elizabeth G Hinesley (Quinton), of Florida; Mary D Mayes (Bobby), Charleston, SC; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of sixty-six years: Charles W. Kibbe Jr., and a daughter, Ethel M Sanders. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ Our King Catholic Church on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens cemetery.
