Muriel Walsh Clarkin

Muriel Walsh Clarkin, 92 of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Born on September 19, 1932, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Muriel Dean Walsh and the late Michael A. Walsh.

Muriel graduated from Bishop England High School. She was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Muriel is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Aimar Clarkin.

Muriel is survived by her children: Charles A. Clarkin Jr. (Julie), Muriel Clarkin Kennedy (Michael), Patricia Clarkin Smith (John) and Michael R. Clarkin; grandchildren: Bridget Dean Inman (James), John Dean Kennedy (Kristen), John L. Smith (Kimberly) and Walsh G. Clarkin; and great-grandchildren: Blake Inman, Taylor Inman, Sawyer Kennedy and Harper Kennedy.

There will be a Prayer Service on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 4:30 PM for those who would like to attend. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Stella Maris Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street on Sullivan's Island, SC. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Charleston, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
