Mildred Holliday Sorrell, 71, of Goose Creek, died March 30, 2015. She was born in Charleston, to the late Henry and Vera Holliday. Millie spent the last over 25 years working in Payroll at the College of Charleston. Being that one of her past times, was taking kids under her wing, she became the “mom†at COFC. It was important to her that she was the motherly role in many people’s lives. Her family loved that she shared her affection with others. Her other love, was Elvis and animals. She never took life for granted and wanted to slow down and enjoy. She started riding CARTA to work, just to enjoy life and meet new friends. Millie joined her own “bus†group of friends on her daily ride to work. She also enjoyed travelling with her girlfriends to several destinations, Myrtle Beach, Graceland, and Florida, just to name a few. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Lisa Tanner and her husband Tom of Goose Creek, Derek Sorrell of North Charleston, and Kevin Sorrell of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Tanner, Victoria Tanner, Austin Tanner, Kera Sorrell, Kaela Sorrell, and Michael Dunlevy; great grandchildren, Kaydence Tanner, J.T.
