Mildred Lehmann, 90 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Born on March 6, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, Mildred was a daughter of the late Philip Sparacino and Loretta (Bethane) Bagley.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Philip Sparacino and Loretta (Bethane) Bagley, and her husband, Lawrence Lehmann.
Mildred is survived by three daughters, Mildred Lehmann-Strobel (Robert), Diana Caputo (Jorge), and Victoria Lehmann, and one son, Lawrence John Lehmann (Lois), nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many friends.
She was a dedicated volunteer at her church by running the Sunday children’s nursery for 20 years. She retired from this position 10 years ago. She enjoyed seeing her “children” each Sunday to follow how they grew up and the new experiences in their lives. She also organized and ran the Old St. Andrews Tea Room Gift Shop for several years.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation – West Ashley, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414. Burial will follow at Old St. Andrews Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC 29414.
