Mildred Freeman

Mildred Freeman, 94 of Summerville passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Born on December 12, 1928 in Englewood, NJ, Mildred was a daughter of the late Mildred Schaeffer Sheriff and John Sheriff.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Carol Szorosy (Joseph) and Jean Barraclough (Brian); a son in law, John DaPrato; grandchildren, Stacy Bilton (Tommy), Joe Szorosy (Jennifer), Jonathan Daprato, and Nick DaPrato; and great grandchildren, Alyssa Bilton Swank (Seth), Tara Bilton, and Sarah Strickland.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Freeman; daughter, Barbara DaPrato; and great grandson, Joey Szorosy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, 11am in the Avinger Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
