Michael Patrick Thorsten

Michael Patrick Thorsten, 23, of Goose Creek, passed away March 17, 2016. He was born August 10, 1992, in Charleston, to his parents John and Jennifer Thorsten. Michael graduated from Stratford High School in 2010, and was most recently attending Southeastern Institute for Medical Billing and Coding. His hobbies included playing video games, playing his drums and guitar, and taking his son Paul to the park. In high school, he was part of the marching band and that led him to playing a few gigs in a band. His family will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife Charlene Thorsten of Goose Creek; son, Paul; parents John and Jennifer Thorsten of Goose Creek; sister, Catherine (Andrew) Langridge of Dover, NH; maternal grandparents, Jim and Jo Walsh of Goose Creek; paternal grandparents, John Thorsten of Roanoke, VA and Margaret Thorsten of Summerville; and many loving family members. A visitation will be held, Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Goose Creek Chapel. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. A burial will follow immediately at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
