Michael Wayne Curtis

Michael Wayne Curtis, 58, of Goose Creek, SC passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Born on May 27, 1966 in North Charleston, SC he was the son of Barbara Gordon Curtis and Robert Curtis.

Upon graduating high school, Michael served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper and in the Army National Guard Reserves. After the military he worked in construction and other labor intensive jobs before switching to the communications engineering field. He worked for various companies that were contracted to work on government projects building cable assemblies and programs. He also assisted his wife in her company, MC SQUARED Cables, with the day to day operations. In his down time he loved watching football and was a big fan of the USC Gamecocks and Dallas Cowboys. He loved his Beagles, Molly, Maggie, Severus, and Seamus. 

Michael is survived by his wife, Melissa Curtis; his sons, Matthew Curtis (Amy), Christian Gordon (Kalyn), and Michael K. W. Curtis (Terrianne); his daughter, Julie; his grandchildren, Hope, Faith, Grace, Lorelei, Luke, and Jack; his parents; and his nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm and the memorial service will immediately follow starting at 3:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.
