Michael Arthur Connor

Michael Arthur Connor, 62, of Goose Creek, passed away July 6, 2017.
Born in Sewickly, PA, he was the son of Arthur "Red" Connor and the late Regina Theil Connor and husband to Janice Connor. Michael served his country in the United States Navy, retiring as a Machinist Mate Chief. During his Naval Career he served on the James Monroe, Nathan Hale, James K. Polk, Von Steuben and Newport News. After his military service, he worked in Public Safety for The Citadel until June of 2016 when he retired.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Janice Connor; children, Stephanie Greenwalt and husband Steven of Missouri, Stephen Connor and wife Mara of Perrysburg, OH, Sarah Connor of Goose Creek and Matthew James Carrico of West Chester, PA; previous wife and lifelong friend, Linda Kaye Connor; close friend, Leonard Gibbs. Michael is also survived by eight grandchildren and many brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
Funeral service and burial will be held in Hookstown, PA.
