Mendel Leroy Etheridge
February 14, 1965 — July 9, 2020
Mendel Leroy Etheridge, of North Charleston, passed away on July 9, 2020 of cancer. He was the son of Mendel L. Etheridge, Sr. and Peggy Chubb Etheridge.
He is survived by his sisters, Terry Etheridge Wilson (Reed) and Mindy Tyler (Bruce), his niece, Christina Robison Martinez and nephews, Timothy Joseph Robison, Jr., Robert Micalizzi, and Benjamin Walker and special aunt, Deloris Husky, and friend Thom Hiers. He is pre-deceased by his parents and maternal grandparents, Charles Chubb and Augusta Sharpe Chubb and paternal grandparents, Pink Etheridge and Mary Smoak Etheridge.
The family would like to thank the staff at Midland Park Residential Home, Johns Island Post-Acute Care Facility, and Hospice of Charleston for the care of my brother, Mendel.
Mendel was a sweet and funny man with a special sense of humor. He will be missed. His burial will be in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens in the Serenity Section and is private due to the Covid virus.
