Matthew Noel Gorham (Geaudade), 41, of North Charleston, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was born on Saturday, June 22, 1974 in Lexington, KY to Julie Noel Gorham and Barry Gorham. Matthew is survived by his loving wife of six years, Lindsey Brown Gorham, of North Charleston, SC; his father, Barry Gorham (Tammy); his mother, Julie Gorham; one sister, Lindsay Slaughter (Andrew) and their son, Matthew Quinn, all of Lexington, KY; in-laws, Kenneth and Camille Brown; sister-in-law, Mindy Tucker (Andy) and their sons, Wyatt and Grady, all of Columbia, SC; his furry companions, Tucker and Black Cat; and many loving family and friends. Those who knew Matthew remember his infectious personality and spirit. He always knew how to have a good time and never missed a moment to be spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed late night bike rides and frisbee golf in the streets of Chevy Chase, sitting around the house listening to good music, dancing and enjoying life. His creativity was displayed not only through his profession as a hair stylist but also through his entire being. His love for all UK sports was apparent and he was convinced UK was a football school! Matthew played baseball for Eastern Little League, Henry Clay High School and the University of Kentucky. Although he will truly be missed, his legacy and spirit will live on in all of us. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel in South Carolina. There will also be a Celebration of Life in Lexington, KY on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm at the University of Kentucky- KClub located at 1398 Sports Center Drive.
