Mary Kathleen Dempsey, 94, of Johns Island, South Carolina passed away on, Sunday, March 5, 2017.
She was born on September 16, 1922 in Harco, Illinois, daughter of the late Virgil Dooley and the late Bula Boatright Dooley.
Kathleen enjoyed flowers, cooking, crocheting and watching cowboy movies at 2 AM. Her family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother.
Besides her parents, Kathleen is predeceased by her husband, Garland Dempsey her son, Gary Dempsey; brother, Jim Dooley and sister, Kate Unger.
She is survived by daughter, Debra Menard and her husband, Richard, of Johns Island, SC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Live Oak Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
