Mary G. Adkins, 77, of Moncks Corner, passed away September 15, 2015. Born in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Curley Brown and wife to Richard Adkins. She retired from Cummins after many years and fulfilled her lifetime dream of owning and operating Adkins Grocery in Moncks Corner. Mrs. Mary enjoyed fishing, camping and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard Adkins; her children, Linda Sutton (Johnnie) of Summerville and Sylvia English (Grady) of Moncks Corner; brothers, R.B. Brown of Moncks Corner and Wayne Brown of Columbia; sisters, Willa Mae Hensley (Wayne) of Summerville and Drunilla Hensley (Wade) of Morganton, North Carolina; sisters-in-laws, Ellen Brown and Geneva Brown. Mrs. Mary is also survived by her eight grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alex Guyton and her children, A.L. Guyton, Danny Guyton, Doris Anne Guyton and Brenda Guyton; brothers, Jack Brown, Mak Brown, and Bailes Brown. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens.
