Mary Catherine Warner (Alexander)

Mary Catherine Warner, 88, of Isle of Palms, SC entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2016. Mary was born on Tuesday, October 25, 1927 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mrs. Annie Bell Romport Alexander and the late Mr. William Alexander. Mary was the widower of Richard 'Dick' Warner, the youngest child of eleven children and graduated high school in Atlanta, GA. Mary and Dick raised their two daughters in Augusta, GA where she retired from the Richmond County Board of Health. In her retirement years Mary especially enjoyed living on the Isle of Palms with Marcia and Bubba, cooking, spending time with her “Charlie” and her loving family. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother to “Ava and Hana” and friend. She is survived by Two Daughters, Marcia Dianne Warner (Charles 'Bubba') Jones, of Isle of Palms, SC and Carole Warner Witcher, of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Dale Witcher (Tommy) Donnelly; two great grandchildren, Ava and Hana Donnelly; and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents and Husband; Richard 'Dick' Warner; and grandson, Charles Richard Daniel Jones. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM (Casual Attire Please). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
