Marsha Lynn Williams

Marsha Lynn Williams, a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and beloved partner and friend, was born on February 15, 1969, in Charleston, South Carolina. She left us on February 9, 2025, just days shy of her birthday.  She was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. 

She lived her entire life in her beloved Charleston, and had a deep love for the outdoors. She made countless beautiful memories camping, gardening, dining al fresco with her glass of red wine on the deck, and making lasting memories with friends and family.  Marsha also loved taking care of Troy's hunting dogs and celebrating her love for pro wrestling, where she cheered on her favorite wrestler, Zuka King, with infectious enthusiasm.  Her passion for cooking was legendary among her loved ones, especially her famous lasagne, which brought everyone together at family gatherings. Marsha shared a strong bond with her son, Matthew, and it was evident in the way her eyes lit up at every mention of his name. 
Professionally, Marsha was on her way to a promotion at Harris Teeter, where her kind nature and strong leadership made her a respected figure in the store. She will be greatly missed by her "workplace family" as well.

Marsha is preceded in death by her father, Royce Williams. She is survived by her son, Matthew Alexander Williams; long-time life partner, Troy Smith; mother, Virginia G. Williams; three brothers, John Dennis Graham (Nancy), Ron K. Graham (Kathy), and Tony A Williams; sister, Judy G. Schwerzler (Joseph).

The family will receive friends at 11:00 am, Monday, February 17, 2025, at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation - James Island, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Friends and family are invited to join together in remembrance, sharing stories and laughter, just as Marsha would have wanted.  The funeral service will follow at noon.  

After the service, Marsha will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
