Marion L Dettloff

Marion L. Dettloff, 95, of Goose Creek, SC passed away, Monday, July 3, 2017
Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late George and Arline Dettloff. Marion was an Executive Assistant for the Chase Manhattan Bank for 35 years. She worked Public Relations and loved her job. She retired in 1983 and moved down to SC to be with her family. She loved to travel the world and see and explore new places including England, Scotland, Turkey and Greece to name a few. She was a Christian Scientist who took primary class instruction in Christian Science and was the second reader in the Smithtown CS Church in NY. She loved her family and looked forward to Sunday dinners together. She loved cooking and baking, especially for the holidays and was a member of many senior groups in the Goose Creek area. She is survived by her son, John Rosenstrom, and wife Joyce. Grandchildren Heather Klinginsmith (Aaron), Kristian Rosenstrom (Marina), Josh Rosenstrom (Kristen). Great grandchildren, Jaden, Haley, Gage, Brennan, Bentley, Brooklyn and Easton, all of Goose Creek. Nephew and niece James Phalen and June Klee of Dover Plains NY. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Arlene Phalen. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 at McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL.
