Marie L. Wright Dupree

Marie Lou Dupree, 85, of Bonneau, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 1, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 24, 1935 in Berkeley County, Marie was a daughter of the late Eppie and Julia Mills Wright.Marie was a loving, intelligent and compassionate mother. She raised seven strong and intelligent women. A loving Grandmother to 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. A wonderful cook, who believed in the tradition of Sunday family dinners.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 sisters, 2 brothers and a granddaughter.  Marie is survived by a sister, Betty W. Dupree of Moncks Corner, SC; seven daughters, Kathie Durden (Mark), Frankie Poole, and Loretta Clayton of Moncks Corner, SC, Cindy Hawkins and Donna Cales (Daniel) of Summerville, SC,  Bonnie McMakin of Statesboro, GA., and Tammy Schueler (Jeff) of Greenville, SC.

The service will be held at McAlister- Smith Funeral & Cremation, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445 on Wednesday May 5th, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1-2 prior to the service. The burial will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens at 3345 S Live Oak Dr. Moncks Corner, S.C.,

Following the service, the family will receive friends after the service at 345 Horseshoe Rd., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
