Marie F. Gordon

Marie F. Gordon, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Marie was born October 2, 1922 in Trio, SC to the late Mrs. Grace Lou McDaniel and the late Mr. Preston Newton Foxworth. Marie was a graduate of Kingstree High School in SC, and spent many wonderful years serving families and their children in the daycare business in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She enjoyed gardening, trips to the mountains and Clemson. She will be remembered as a gentle and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son; James 'Jimmy' T. Gordon Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and her daughter; Barbara Gordon (Robert) Stockman, of Dothan, AL, Five Grandchildren; Piper Stockman, of Alabaster, AL, Robin (Trent) Adkison, of Dothan, AL, Trey Stockman, of Dothan, AL, Michelle Gordon, Of Savannah, GA and Chad Gordon, Of Alexandra, VA, One Great Grandchild; Dalice Adkison, of Dothan, Al, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 36 years, James T. Gordon, Sr., and her son; William P. Gordon. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home. A Graveside Service and Burial will be held at Mt.
