Marie Elizabeth McBride, 79, of Isle of Palms, SC entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born on Monday, September 20, 1937 in New York City, NY to the late Mrs. Marie Schultz and the late Mr. Theodore Schultz. Marie was an avid tea drinker, enjoyed golf, and playing cards with her friends. She loved the many adventurous cruises she went on family and friends over the years. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grand children, and great grand children. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Francis McBride, Isle of Palms, SC; two daughters, Maureen Frances Long (Jim), of Groton, MA and Mary Kathleen Arthur (Mark), of Awendaw, SC; one son, Thomas Francis McBride III; of Whippany, NJ ; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many loving siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass will be held at Stella Maris Catholic Church on January 13th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to Stella Maris Catholic Church. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted online at www.McAlister-Smith.com.
