Margaret Pruitt Upchurch

Margaret Pruitt Upchurch, 92, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018.
She was born on December 23, 1925 in Durham, NC, daughter of the late Bertha White Pruitt and the late Sidney S. Pruitt, Sr.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and her grandchild, Darlene Upchurch Burke
She is survived by her brother, Sidney S. Pruitt Jr., two sons, Walter and Byron; three daughters: Barbara, Wanda and Mona; fourteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
Margaret is a retired LPN with Watts Hospital and Durham County Hospital, with over 20 years of service. She loved caring for people, which was evident if you knew her. Margaret loved watching birds, and especially loved looking for her cardinals. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Goose Creek, and had a great love for her faith.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek, 141 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
