Margaret “Margot†Peet Anderson, 68, of Johns Island, SC, passed on September 11, 2014. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Charles D Peet and Margaret Louise Sherman and wife of John B. Anderson. A graduate of Westover School and Vassar College, she was a Vice President of JP Morgan where she worked for almost 25 years. The couple loved the Charleston area and moved to Kiawah Island in 2001. Margot’s passion for the needle arts led to a joint ownership in It’s a Stitch of Charleston, LLC. She was a member of several needlework guilds and was actively involved in support groups of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the Gibbes Museum of Art. Margot is survived by her husband John of 33 years; sons: Robert Sherman and wife Kelley, of Greenville, SC; Paul, wife Alissa and grandson Garrett, of Atlanta, GA; and by her brother, Charles D Peet Jr. and wife Julie, of New York City. The family will receive visitors commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, at the Church of Our Saviour, 4416 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC 29455. Immediately following visitation there will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. honoring Margot.
