Margaret McInnes Meynardie, 98, died peacefully Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community where she had been a resident for 17 years.
Born May 23, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. McInnes, Sr. and Elizabeth Collins McInnes of Charleston, SC.
She is survived by her son: James W. (Bill) Meynardie and his wife Preston of Columbia, SC; 2 grandchildren: Meg M. Salmon and her husband Aaron of Charlotte, NC and Will Meynardie of Charleston, SC; 2 great-grandchildren: Alli and Will Salmon of Charlotte, NC.
She was predeceased by her husband: J. W. Meynardie; 2 brothers: Frank W. McInnes, Jr. and William M. McInnes; and a sister: Alice McInnes.
Margaret was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a member and officer of the Charleston and SC Dental Assistants Associations and worked for local dentists for 50 years.
A memorial service will be held at Bishop Gadsden Chapel at 10:30 AM on Monday, April 10, 2017. The family will receive friends after the service.
