Maggie was born in Charleston, South Carolina on December 5, 1940, the daughter of James Woodrow Wilson McDonald and Nellie Myers McDonald. She was a long time member of St. Scots Presbyterian Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

She is survived by her mother,Nellie Myers McDonald; sons, James L. Moody, III (Donna), Gary Moody (Robin) and Scott Moody (Michelle), all of Charleston SC. Maggie's home was always open and served as a lovely haven for family and friends. She loved hosting parties and everyone delighted in her wonderful "party dock."

Maggie was a devoted wife, mother, and a loving grandmother. She had a most generous heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and cared deeply for her family members. She was a fantastic cook and truly an all-around outstanding person. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
