Margaret Jeanette Spitzer Sorrell (Spitzer)

Margaret 'Peggy' Jeanette Spitzer Sorrell, 58, of Hanahan, SC, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015. She was born on Saturday, May 19, 1956, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Barbara Badger Spitzer and the late George Spitzer. Peggy was a homemaker. She and her husband facilitated the Charleston Multiple Sclerosis Support Group, where they hosted the webpage for the local MS support groups. Peggy loved arts and crafts, the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family remembers her as a wonderful, energetic, fun-loving, selfless person. She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Dwight Sorrell of Hanahan, SC; two sons: Bradford Cole and his wife, Sara, of Summerville, SC and Robert Cole of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers: Danny Spitzer and his wife, Dale, of Camden, SC; Paul Spitzer and his wife, Gloria, of Camden, SC and Russell Spitzer and his wife, Karen, of Lugoff, SC; two sisters: Jenny Spitzer of Camden, SC and Beth Aumoch of Camden, SC; six grandchildren: Brandon Yeary, Brooklyn Cole, Bailey Cole, Emily Thompson, Chelsea Cole and Lea Alvarado The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home West Ashley Chapel, with Reverend Tom Brown officiating.
