Lowell Thomas Milz, 81, of Goose Creek, died December 30, 2014. He was born November 3, 1933 in Ford City, PA, the son of the late Jacob and Gertrude (Peters) Milz. Lowell is survived by and will be missed by all of his family, including his wife of 54 years, Teresa (Huypungco) Milz; two daughters, Janet Cottone (Thomas) of Jedburg and Brenda Elrod (David) of Moncks Corner; one son, James Thomas Milz (Elizabeth) of Summerville; one sister, Rose Kramer of Ford City, PA; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Lowell was a 21 year retired Master Sergeant from U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He later retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a member and usher of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Goose Creek. The family will receive friends on, Friday, January 2, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm Vigil Service at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home Goose Creek Chapel. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445, burial with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston.
