Lori E. Bachmeier (McKee)

November 18, 1960 — May 15, 2016

Lori Elizabeth McKee Bachmeier of Pinehurst, NC passed away peacefully at FirstHealth Hospice Center Sunday, May 15, 2016. She was born November 18, 1960 in Newton, NJ, attended Fredon Elementary School and Kittatinny Regional High School, where she was active in softball and cheerleading. She graduated from Penn State University where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was an avid, lifelong Nittany Lions fan. After graduation, Lori worked in human resources for several international corporations and was very talented at designing and decorating all of their various homes. She loved golf, tennis and animals, to include her childhood horses and her current dog Bradley. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, daughter, step-mother, and dear friend. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Bachmeier; mother, Elizabeth McKee; brother, Scott McKee; children, Melissa and Michael Bachmeier; nieces, Kelsey Ladd and Christina McKee; and many loving friends. She is predeceased by her father, Lester McKee, Aunt Sue; and her niece Marissa McKee. A Private Family Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 21, 2016. A “Celebration of her life” will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Daniel Island Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to FirstHealth Hospice, P.O. A Private Service will be held on Saturday, May 21st, 2016 and then on Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 there will be a Celebration of Life Service on Daniel Island, the Daniel Island Club at 1pm. Following the service, we will gather for food and friendship, Bruce and Lori style.
