Lorene D. Burnette

Lorene D. Burnette, 59, of Ocean Springs, MS, died January 29, 2014. Born in Key West, FL, she was the daughter of Abel Jenkins and the late Gloria Jenkins. She was a resident of Ocean Springs for the past twenty three years, raising a family and traveling as a Navy wife with her husband. Mrs. Burnette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by her husband, Steven Burnette of Ocean Spings, MS; father, Abel Burnette of Goose Creek; three sons, Thomas Burnette of Jacksonville, FL, Geoffrey Burnette of Frazier, CO and Christopher Burnette of Ocean Springs, MS; grandson, Nathan Burnette of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Christina Samuelsen and husband Randall of Goose Creek. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at ???? in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, February 7, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
