Linda Sue Ashe

Linda Sue Ashe, 79, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of Robert Harold Ashe entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 30, 2021 in North Charleston, South Carolina.  Born on March 30, 1942 in Canton, North Carolina, Linda was a daughter of the late James H. Sexton and Lula (Gillespie) Sexton. 

After retiring from Lockheed, Linda followed in her father’s footsteps and became a minister.  She was a member of the Carnes Crossroads Church of God.  She volunteered as a minister at the White Oak Manor in North Charleston for many years.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her seven siblings: Inez Beck, Beula King, Paul Sexton, Irene Crownover, John Sexton, David Sexton, Pat Pafford.
Linda is survived by her brother, James Sexton; her son, Russell Scott Ashe and his wife Terri Lee Ashe; her grand-children Joshua Wiggins, Jamie Venzie and her husband Joseph Venzie; and her great-grand-children Lucian Venzie, Aidric Venzie, Eden Venzie, and Myra Venzie.

A gathering of Linda's family and friends will be from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation Center in Goose Creek.  Following Cremation, and at a date to be scheduled, Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband at Berkeley Memorial Gardens near Moncks Corner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda`s memory may be sent to the Carnes Crossroads Church of God, 1341 State Rd, Summerville, SC 29483, 843-761-4241 or a church of the donor's choice.
