Linda Jean Hammond

Linda Jean Hammond, 74, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

Born on January 19, 1951, in Fort Eustis, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elba F. Howard and the late Crawford Hammond.

Linda dedicated over three and a half decades to the United Postal Service. Her unwavering dedication to her work was only surpassed by her commitment to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid lover of all things Disney.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Michelle Moody and her husband, Scott Moody; her grandson, Brett Lodge and his wife, Carrie Lodge; and her great-granddaughter, Maisie Susanne Lodge. In addition, she is also survived by her siblings: Kenneth Hammond, Joyce Smith, Jeraud Hammond (Sylvia), Charles Hammond (Jeanne), and James Howard (Melissa) along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Crawford and Elba.

The celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 22nd at Brookhaven Fellowship, 287 Temple Rd Ridgeville, SC 29472.

Linda's presence will be greatly missed but fondly remembered, and her life continues to illuminate the journey of all who were privileged to know and love her.
